Lydia Michaels Hi Scarlett,
There is another story outlined, but it will take some time to write and work in with my other scheduled books, so I don't like to make promises or set dates this far in advance. The other book will read much like a stand alone, even though it will overlap with Hurt. However, I want to get it out to readers like you, so I should start writing in the not so distant future. It's a very in depth and dark story, over 70 chapters long, so it's quite an undertaking, especially when considering the subject matter. But the creative process has started.

Thanks for reading! And if you like my darker stories, you might also enjoy: If I Fall, Something Borrowed, and Original Sin.

Have a great week,
Lydia
Lydia Michaels I definitely hope to tell his story in the near future.
Lydia Michaels Hi Scarlet,

I'm so glad you loved HURT! Yes, I am currently working on a sequel. And if you like paranormal, I have an excellent vampire series coming out in the new year! Thanks for reading.

Lydia Michaels Hi Michele,
Chasing Feathers, like all the New Castle stories, is being rewritten and re-released under a new title with a fresh cover. Here is the new order:

White Chocolate : First Comes Love
All 4 You : If I Fall
To Catch a Wolfe : Something Borrowed
Chasing Feathers : Remember Me

All have been released except book 4, Remember Me. But it's coming! I hope to have it out by the end of the year.
Thank you for reading!

Lydia Michaels Hi A,
I believe you are asking about Toni's book. If so, her story is in the works and I should announce a date in the near future. Thanks for reading!

Lydia Michaels Hi Gemma,
There is a spin off series called Surrender Games that features the Patras family and characters. You'll want to start with Sacrifice of the Pawn. Thanks for reading! Enjoy!

Lydia Michaels Hi Gemma,
There is a spin off series called Surrender Games. It features happy endings for the side characters. It should be read in order starting with Sacrifice of the Pawn then Queen of the Knight. More to come! Thanks for reading!

Lydia Michaels Hi Gemma!
Thank you! That is a wonderful thing to hear. Why, yes, I believe I can do that, or at least get close. There is a book coming out this fall called QUEEN OF THE KNIGHT (A Patras Novel). While it's not Lucian and Scout's book, they are in it. Lucian is in it quite a bit. Not only will you get to see where he is now, but you will also see where he was before Surrender. The story is told in 7 parts with 3 points of view. I hope that helps and thank you for reading!

Lydia Michaels It's impossible to pick one, so here's one of my favorites: Bert & Virginia Chance (Raising Hope). They're broke, unsuccessful, and unconcerned with other people's opinions. They're hilarious and madly in love. They laugh like children together and that's what true love is all about--happiness.
Lydia Michaels All of it! I'm fascinated by words, their beauty, their malleability, their strength, their impact. The fact that words can be strung together in a way that can bring tears to another human's eyes is simply incredible to me. Words are enchanting and powerful. They can end wars and start them. They can stir or cure years of anguish. They are little bits of sounds clumped together to form meaning and clumped again to build implication... clump them enough and you have a novel--beginning, middle, and end with worlds of secrets hidden in between. Words are so magical, they can even carry meaning in the blank spaces that separate them. Fascinating.

I also like that I can go to work in PJs ;)
Lydia Michaels I outline. The more details I define, the more tangible the characters and setting, then the story usually hits and I rush off to get it out. Music helps too. Poetry is inspiring. If I'm blocked for a while I just figure my muse wants a break and needs to read. It's nice that reading is a necessary part of the job and sometimes it takes writer's block to get me to shut the laptop. LOL I'm obsessed with writing!
Lydia Michaels Write. Read. Continuously learn about the craft and industry trends. Stay organized. Take full advantage of honest feedback. Be patient! Don't waste your energy on competition or envy (you'll have your moment when it's your time). Keep a schedule and work diligently. And NEVER GIVE UP!!! If you believe you can, you will!
Lydia Michaels Gosh... that's hard to pinpoint (And there are three books I'm currently working on). One project stemmed from personal experience, another hit me out of the blue, and the other... I'd say pure fantasy.
Lydia Michaels Currently, I'm working on La Vie en Rose {Life in Pink}, Protege, and a secret project with author Allyson Young.
Lydia Michaels Most of my inspiration comes from music and people. I love watching people!
Lydia Michaels When I wrote Lucian's story I kept his sisters and friends in mind. I have a file of notes in case I ever decide to revisit Folsom, but right now I'm involved in other projects, so nothing is in the works. However, I think it would be so much fun to write Jamie and Toni's story! So maybe some day :)
Thanks for reading!

Lydia Michaels Thank you! I have nothing scheduled in that area at this time, but I will be sure to let you know if anything changes :)

Lydia Michaels Hi Helen,
The publisher of the McCullough Mountain series unexpectedly closed. I'm working to return many of my books to circulation ASAP. However, I do have some copies in my inventory and if you'd like to order an autographed copy we can arrange that ($15). Please let me know. I have a signing in N.J. this weekend and I will probably sell out. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks for reading!
