Rachel Morgan Hi Kris :-)

Thank you for respecting authors' time and hard work by saying you'll never visit pirate sites that steal ebooks!

I would LOVE to include all my books in the Kindle Unlimited catalog. I really would. But Amazon forces exclusivity on any authors enrolling their books in that program, and I just have too many readers outside of Amazon to consider making my books not available to all of them :-( (But if Amazon ever changes their terms and allows books to be in KU without being exclusive only to Amazon, I'll definitely consider it!)

If you're open to trying a different subscription service, all my books are available on Scribd. Bonus—my audiobooks are all available there too! And I think you can probably get a free month's trial and read/listen to quite a few books/audiobooks during that month.

If you're sticking with Amazon, then the most affordable way to finish the Creepy Hollow series is with the trilogies. The first trilogy is about to go on special (FREE!) within the next few days until about Aug 20th. Then you only need to purchase the second and third trilogies. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...

3. The Faerie War
4. A Faerie's Secret
5. A Faerie's Revenge

7. Glass Faerie
8. Shadow Faerie
9. Rebel Faerie

If you want to purchase paperbacks, you can get them from my online store :-) www.rachelmorganbooks.com
Rachel Morgan Hi Caitlin :-) There will be either 3 or 4 books.
Rachel Morgan Hi Christi-Anne :-)

Sorry I didn't see this question sooner! Look out for the digital bundle of Emerson's Story (Creepy Hollow 7, 8 & 9) later this month. I'm not certain of the exact date, but it should be live on all retailers by Feb 19th.

xx Rachel

Rachel Morgan Hi Caitlin :-)

I'm so glad to hear you loved Rebel Faerie! As for Gemma and Perry ... well, I figured not all "high school" romances last forever. Sometimes people grow up and grow apart. Sometimes they figure out they're not right for each other. Sometimes circumstances push them apart ...

I decided not to be specific about whatever might have been the initial cause of Gemma and Perry's on-again, off-again relationship. And based on that brief scene in Rebel Faerie, it's unclear if they may actually end up together again. (Perry tells Calla that won't happen, but it sounds like he's probably said that before ;-) ) So who knows? I decided to leave that story thread open-ended instead of tying it into a neat little bow. After all, these characters may live for centuries still. Anything could happen beyond the pages of book #9 ;-)
Rachel Morgan Hi Christi-Anne :-)

Yes, I will be releasing a digital box set of Em's books (books 7, 8 & 9). However, that will probably only happen several months into next year.

Thank you for letting me know you love the series :D

xx Rachel
Rachel Morgan Hi Sharon,

Years ago, I dreamed of having a traditional publishing career. But by the time I got around to actually finishing a book, authors had begun successfully utilizing digital self-publishing. I saw the freedom and control this gave them and decided I wanted this for myself. That's why I chose to self-publish rather than submit my story to a publisher.

What gave me the confidence to put my book out there was the fact that a number of people had read my work and really enjoyed it. It was a great story, it had been edited, proofread (numerous times!) and generally polished as much as it could be, and I was proud of the finished product I put out there. (Although this didn't stop me from being completely terrified once the book was live on Amazon and available for anyone in the world to read!)

You don't need marketing experience in order to write and publish a great book. Marketing is something you learn along the way, both for traditional and self-published authors. Which route you choose depends on what you want to get out of your writing career. If you simply want to write stories and not bother with anything else, then it's very helpful to have a traditional publisher take care of the rest for you. But if you're a bit of a control freak (like I am!), then you probably want to be in charge of every aspect of your writing business.

My tips for authors starting out is to read a lot and write a lot. Read a lot of well-written books in your chosen genre, as well as books that teach you the craft of writing great stories, and write, write, write so that you keep getting better at it. Once that's done, get feedback from fellow writers or a writing/publishing professional and take it from there.
Rachel Morgan Hi Lauren,

Violet and Calla are the main point-of-view characters in their respective books, so it made sense--as long as I was using people on the covers rather than objects--to put the two of them on the covers. I did a poll to determine whether my readers preferred seeing people or objects on book covers, and while the results were close, more readers tended to prefer seeing people on the covers of YA books.
Rachel Morgan Hi Amour :-) I'm sorry, but no date has been set yet! You can find out more about that here: http://rachel-morgan.com/2016/03/cree...

Rachel Morgan A large part of my writing process consists of letting the characters "decide" as the story goes along, but plot twists don't fall into that category. I always know before I begin writing a story what the major plot points (including the twists!) will be.
Rachel Morgan Well, I have already written in the contemporary romance genre (the Trouble series). I don't have definite plans for which genre to write once the Creepy Hollow series is finished, but two genres I'd LOVE to try out are steampunk and dystopian. They provide so many creative opportunities!
Rachel Morgan I don't know about other authors, but I definitely go a little bit "fangirl" over some of my characters! If I'm going to be able to write a character (or scene) that's romantic enough for readers to swoon over (*cough, cough* magic carpets ;-) ) then the best way to make that work is if I'm also swooning! Makes it believable for readers ;-)
