(view spoiler)[I just finished Rebel Faerie and I loved it! I thought it was a great conclusion to a terrific series! But one think did leave me confused. I was wondering, what happened with Gemma and Perry? (hide spoiler)]

Hi Caitlin :-)
I'm so glad to hear you loved Rebel Faerie! As for Gemma and Perry ... well, I figured not all "high school" romances last forever. Sometimes people grow up and grow apart. Sometimes they figure out they're not right for each other. Sometimes circumstances push them apart ...
I decided not to be specific about whatever might have been the initial cause of Gemma and Perry's on-again, off-again relationship. And based on that brief scene in Rebel Faerie, it's unclear if they may actually end up together again. (Perry tells Calla that won't happen, but it sounds like he's probably said that before ;-) ) So who knows? I decided to leave that story thread open-ended instead of tying it into a neat little bow. After all, these characters may live for centuries still. Anything could happen beyond the pages of book #9 ;-)

Rachel Morgan:
After reading A Faerie's Curse, I decided to go back and read the whole Creepy Hollow series starting from book one. When I finished A Faerie's Curse for the second time, I couldn't help but feel like I read a few things that hinted that a certain character might not have suffered the fate I initially believed. Am I imagining things? Am I too hopeful?

Hey, Rachel! How do you find the courage to self publish your first book at the very first place? Would you recommend new/yound authors (basically without marketing experience) to self pulish like you or tradition publish? What's your tips for young authors on writing and publishing?
