Hi! This one is easy--no, and no :)

I'm so happy that you're enjoying my books, Victoria! And I'm honored that my characters have stuck with you. Jim is definitely a character whose fate I left somewhat vague, but I will tell you how I've always thought about it:
SPOILER AHEAD: At the end of Fractured, I felt that Jim wasn't yet finished with his journey toward redemption, and that it would be too easy to give him a happily ever after at that point--and if you've read the short story about him in Stories from the Shadowlands, you can probably see why. So after his death at the end of Fractured, he would have needed to do his time in the Blinding City, and he would have ultimately succeeded using some of the inner resources he'd gained during the time he spent in the land of the living. Ultimately, I do think he would have ended up back in the Countryside, but with more of a sense of peace and contentment for having experienced all the things he had.
I hope that answers your question!

Thank you for this explanation! I completely agree that he would not have been deserving of the Countryside yet based on his origin story. I love that

I'm so glad you're excited! Currently there are three books slated for release (Reliquary on June 14th, Splinter on August 2nd, and Mosaic on November 15th), but I do not consider that the end of the story. I'll keep everyone posted on future plans for this series ...
