I have no especial credentials as a reviewer other than being a reader. I am a retired head teacher and have written five books. But I'm not sure if I am the right person to review your books because as a devout agnostic, I am way off your target audience. I suspect.

He entered the kitchen, turning on the light, to see that someone had spilled red wine on the floor, except that as he turned the corner, he saw it was blood from a naked body lying dead. Then he realised it was himself, thinking as his life oozed away.

I tend not to read fantasy world books so my scope is limited. Perhaps Asimov's Second Foundation, but I expect I'd be at a loss knowing what to do. Does a Sci-fi world count? I expect I'd have to fall back on Narnia (kill Jadis straight away, think of the trouble that would have saved) or maybe Kirrin Island and just join in the fun and stroke Timmy.

I don't have a specific list as such. I want to read Nigel Austin's second book, having just finished Some Kind of Innocence. It largely depends on what comes along and takes my fancy. I only read off my phone now because I find print hard these days with my eye conditions, so I depend on Kindle mostly.

To be honest, I don't have one. If pushed I would say Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson - do they count as a couple? :-)

My own 'inspiration' was a series of events that happened tome that made me decide to set down my story. That probably won't apply to most people writing other than memoirs.

I'm not a writing guru, but write from the heart and stick to what you know about.

In my own case it was catharsis. Telling my story, good and bad, warts and all, was the main aim. Be nice if it were to become a best seller though - preferably while I'm still alive!

Never been a worry. When I get the urge, I write. When I don't, I go and do something else.
