Echoes was the original Asher Benson novella that I've since rewritten as Ash. Echoes isn't available because it was crap. If you've read Ash, then it's the same thing, just longer and better.

Yes, I am. You're exactly right - The Gate was my attempt at making a modern ode to Lovecraft. So glad to hear that it freaked you out. That's a great compliment.
