Oh I really wanted to write a trilogy for Deadsville. Obviously I didn't answer some of the main questions with Tavie and her reason for being in limbo, but the book sold poorly. I'm not ruling it out but it will be a while. As for the Cat Clan novels, I'm going over some of the older ones and there's about a dozen other characters who need a HEA, so I'll probably work on a new one later in the year. The second reason for my delay in this is a series of health issues so while I want to write everything, I can't always do this. Thanks for asking and hope you've tried out my latest, The Bureau of Extraordinaires.

Most of my novels are available in the Overdrive app already, but since you've asked, I'm going to doublecheck to make certain things haven't changed, which does happen upon occasion. Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Sharon, I'm working on Bubba 8 right now. I think it should be done by the end of summer and for sale thereabouts. I got sidelined by rotator cuff surgery, of which I grossly underestimated the recovery time, so apologies, but just for you I'll tell you a teaser about the plot. Bubba doesn't find a dead body this time, but one of his friends does, and he wants Bubba to help figure it out. Happy reading!

Kate Daniels and Curran from the Ilona Andrews series because I love a strong woman and a man who loves a strong woman.

I'm planning on two more Deadsville novels, and I'll be revisiting the Moon novellas soon, but I won't be writing any more Mignon Thibeaux novels. Thanks so much for asking and for your readership.

Bless your heart. Bubba and the Ten Little Loonies just came out, if you haven't read that one. Then I'm writing a Cat Clan novella followed by a Lake People suspense, and then back to Bubba again. Yes, more Bubba books will come.

Hi Marie,
Looking at December/January for the sixth Bubba novel. I'm just starting it now. The tentative name is Bubba and the Ten Little Loonies unless I can think of something better.

Thank you, Suzanne. I appreciate your support. I usually have an idea, which starts off with a what-if question. I start thinking about it and brainstorming it to make it into a full length novel or novella. I try to toss around as many ideas as I can to get it into a cohesive form. Then I write an outline. When I'm done with the outline I start writing. Usually about five to ten chapters into the outline, I re-write the outline because I broke the first one. Then I write another five or ten chapters and I'm usually force to re-write the outline again. I have to go back and add things I think of, and try to get rid of loose ends, or make sure I'm following through with the way I want the plot to be. By the time I'm done with a book, I usually go back through it and add items again, or make sure I didn't repeat myself overly. There are always things I change. In fact, I would change all of my novels if it wasn't so expensive and painstaking to revise the manuscripts. (I'm going through all of them but I would do them over and over again because I nitpick so much.) I hope this answered your question, Suzanne. Keep an eye on Facebook about the beta readers because it's coming up in a month or so.

I write in Microsoft word, then I pay a professional format to set me up with a mobi file and file for smashwords, which is usually in word, too. Occasionally I will get an epub version for nook when I don't want to wait for smashwords to get around to publishing to them. I pay someone to do this because I never had any good luck with doing it myself, although I do know how.

By answering what-if questions. What if the dead didn't really die? And so on.

Pretty much anything inspires me. I think it's just the way I think.

I'm working on a new series called Deadsville. It's about a police detective who dies and goes to a holding zone called Deadsville. There she has to learn the rules as well as solve a murder where there should never be a murder.

Don't give up. I may not be as famous as some of the best sellers but I do make a living and I'm proud of that.

I love the hours and flexibility.

I tend to take a nap. I let my mind wander. Usually the trick is to follow any route that my mind takes and I usually come up with the answer or answers.
