Suzanne Gossett
Suzanne Gossett asked C.L. Bevill:

What kind of process do you follow to bring your books to the public...ie, outline, rough draft ect..? And by the way, you are my favorite author! Leaps and bounds above the rest!! Each intriqing, creative and original in it's own way!!

C.L. Bevill Thank you, Suzanne. I appreciate your support. I usually have an idea, which starts off with a what-if question. I start thinking about it and brainstorming it to make it into a full length novel or novella. I try to toss around as many ideas as I can to get it into a cohesive form. Then I write an outline. When I'm done with the outline I start writing. Usually about five to ten chapters into the outline, I re-write the outline because I broke the first one. Then I write another five or ten chapters and I'm usually force to re-write the outline again. I have to go back and add things I think of, and try to get rid of loose ends, or make sure I'm following through with the way I want the plot to be. By the time I'm done with a book, I usually go back through it and add items again, or make sure I didn't repeat myself overly. There are always things I change. In fact, I would change all of my novels if it wasn't so expensive and painstaking to revise the manuscripts. (I'm going through all of them but I would do them over and over again because I nitpick so much.) I hope this answered your question, Suzanne. Keep an eye on Facebook about the beta readers because it's coming up in a month or so.
