Writing when you don't feel like it, pushing yourself to write something, is a good way to practice the process of writing...I have seen how every writer develops their own process, and it is usually by developing a discipline to write things down when you don't have anything that is that interesting to you, or feels right...write it anyway, just to keep it moving...write the things that seem important as quickly as you can, stop what you are doing to write if you have to...it is all about the process...the longer you work on developing a process for writing, the less you will feel blocked...sometimes trauma can block me, I have PTSD so sometimes I get blocked by that as well, memories or triggered trauma...sometimes writing regardless will help the trauma, sometimes I need to walk away and come back to it, process it some other way...but always with the intention of getting back to the writing process and keeping that the most important process to work on...
