I think of it as a positive thing. All writers have days, weeks, sometimes longer, when they don't write, so don't force it and churn out any old drivel. See it as the mind resting and thinking in itself, absorbing detail, storing it for later, waiting for the trigger.

Do not be afraid of what others may think. Write what you want to say how you want to say it. Be believable in a readers mind. Replace their cynicism with hope. Make the impossible seem real and reachable.
