All writers have days, weeks, sometimes longer, when they don't write, so don't force it and churn out any old drivel. See it as the mind resting and thinking in itself, absorbing detail, storing it for later, waiting for the trigger. (less)

Hi Nereid. Welcome and well met. There are many fine poets and writers here. Have fun reading.

Nereid Hi, thanks for the friend request. I am also a huge poetry and romance fan. :)

Lo Jerry! Thankye for accepting my friend request on here. Coooool overlaps. Hardy is my favourite novelist..especially Tess and The Return Of The Native. Chandler..superb in that genre..love Bogart and Bacall..The Big Sleep..fantastic dialogue and so many memorable scenes. My favourite poets are Seamus Heaney and W B Yeats but so many others living and dead run them close in certain poems. Joyce's Dubliner's is a good book of short stories to dip into. A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man is short but brilliant..enjoy it for yourself! Ulysees http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulysses_..., like Cervantes Don Quixote, is best savoured at one's leisure. I love stream of consciousness.

I have been a Manchester United fan since the age of three and grew up four hundred metres from Old Trafford.

Thankye and take care...Strider
