Debra Dunbar Hi Caroline,
I'm sorry, but at this time my e-books are exclusive to Amazon and I'm not currently planning to return them to wide distribution. Sadly this was a business decision I had to make.
I do have a preorder up on Kobo for a new series that starts in January 2021. If you're interested in that series, please preorder it as it will only be available there for a short time.
Paperbacks and audiobooks are available at other retailers. Only e-books are exclusive to Amazon at this time.
Debra Dunbar Sadly the printing companies open to me as an indie publisher don't give a cost effective option for the mass market paperback size. The 5x8 size I use is as close as I can get.
Debra Dunbar As the Imp Series is contemporary fantasy, I use a lot of pop-culture references throughout the books. In the 2012 release Satan's Sword, Sam travels to Atlantic City and comments that The Donald's soul is the most coveted among demons since Elvis. In later books there are some Trump sayings as well as Bill Clinton, Marion Barry's famous saying, and many others. Things like that set the current tone of the books, and provide good humor—those are my reasons :)
Debra Dunbar Sadly retailers don't allow me to assign prequels a series number, so the only way to locate the Imp book is to search title and author name. The link to the Amazon copy is: https://www.amazon.com/Imp-Fantasy-No...
Debra Dunbar There will be 10 books in the Imp Series, and Sam will continue to have cameos in other series as well as short stories.
Debra Dunbar Right now Far From Center is in an exclusive run with Amazon, but it should be available at all other retailers again by August 14th.
Debra Dunbar Demons of Desire is in the quality check process through Audible now and will probably be available in another week. I plan to have Sins of the Flesh done this year as well as the latest Sam book, Kingdom of Lies. The other Imp World books will probably be later next year before they are in audio.
Debra Dunbar Yes, my editor had a work emergency, and the new date is September 9th. I'll be posting the first chapter on my website later today, so make sure you check in.
Debra Dunbar We are in production on Angel of Chaos right now! I'm hoping to have it available around May.
After that I'll be trying to contract Angela as the book releases, so in the future there will only be a 2-3 month delay for the audio book.
Debra Dunbar Yes! There will be four more Sam books, starting with Kingdom of Lies in 2015. If you haven't received it yet, there is a free anthology with a short of Sam and Gregory available through my website.
Debra Dunbar Favors.

There is "coin" for when a favor isn't a good trade, and many times the human residents of Hel use a system of barter.
Debra Dunbar I see Michelle as having shrugged the whole thing off. She's worked with Sam long enough to know how amoral she is, and since the tenants call her Satan - well it wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Question 4 isn't one I can answer! You'll just have to wait and see :)
Debra Dunbar The Half-Breed Series will be four books, although I am hoping to squeeze in a few short stories and maybe a novella, too.

Amber needs to draw as little attention to herself as possible (which she's struggling to do!). Being a part of Sam's household would mean she'd carry a demon's mark, and might get noticed by other demons who know about the price on her head. Both Amber and Sam consider her part of the infernal family, she's just not "officially" marked as one.
Debra Dunbar Oh my, that's like trying to describe what a color tastes like! I see spirit forms as a kind of living energy. They wouldn't be visible to the eye, but I envision them as a sort of cloudy-thing as I'm writing about them.

Sam will always carry scars, although they'll age and fade somewhat with time. I wanted the angels and demons to be like us when it comes to injury to their spirit beings - sometimes parts are damaged forever, others heal slowly, and sometimes when a bunch of red-purple billions-of-years-old angel integrates into an imp's being, healing can be much faster.

I saw Sam's powers as not completely lost/damaged beyond repair as she feared they were, but rather "stuck" behind a whole lot of scar tissue. Breaking down that scar tissue is painful, but it allows the abilities to restore themselves.
Debra Dunbar No Man's Land can be read any time after Satan's Sword, but make sure you read it before Angel of Chaos or you'll miss some nuances when Jaq and Kelly make their appearance.

Stolen Souls and Demon's of Desire take place while Sam is in Hel, so they could be read after Devil's Paw or even after Imp Forsaken. There are some references you'll miss if you have read them before Angel of Chaos, but nothing integral to the story.

My suggested reading order:

A Demon Bound
Satan's Sword
Imp (Novella)
Elven Blood
Devil's Paw
Imp Forsaken
No Man's Land
Stolen Souls
Demons of Desire
Angel of Chaos
Debra Dunbar Yes, Sam can still change her form into animals and alter her human appearance, although it won't be an exact copy since she no longer has any Owned souls to reference.

She's still able to Own souls, but I'm sure Gregory would make her release the person pretty quickly!

The demons consider her an angel, and the angels still consider her a demon (Gregory aside). There will be more on that in future books :)

Thanks for reading!
Debra
