My favorite fictional "couple" isn't really a couple and it doesn't come from a book, but a team and it's Cagney and Lacey, two women detectives in a very good television show that aired in the 1980s. Though they they lead very different lives, they cared about each other and the work they did as detectives. The show had some very good story lines and always had wonderful endings.

Yes! There will be another book after Dead Wrong. In fact, I am in the process of doing research for the fourth book now, though the book won't be out until 2017. The story will pick up where Dead Wrong has left off and the Sam is going to help solve a cold case file.

It doesn't take much to get me inspired to write. I have written professionally since 1989 as a journalist having worked at newspapers in Denver, Seattle and Albuquerque. I couldn't imagine my life without writing.

I have finished editing Dead Wrong, the third book in the Samantha Church Mystery Series, which published on Amazon January 8, 2015. Soon, I will start writing and researching, Cold Case File No. 95-2159, the fourth book in the mystery series.

I keep writing. It is a lot easier to edit something when it's on paper then nothing at all. I am always surprised to realize that as long as I keep writing, sooner or later the words are going to come and they are, more often than not, better than I thought they would be.

My sister, who passed away in February 2013, worked as a funeral assistant for a mortuary in Colorado for nine years. She always told me fascinating stories about her work, including the people she work with and what can happen to the deceased. My new book, Dead Wrong, is based on some of those conversations and is dedicated to my sister's memory.
