Jennifer Mathieu Hi! Right now there are no plans for it, but I am hopeful the movie will get made, so cross your fingers for that!

I think if I wrote a sequel I'd like to focus on Lucy Hernandez. Maybe one day! :-)
Jennifer Mathieu I'm so sorry I'm a YEAR LATE answering this! I forgot readers could ask me questions here! If you're still willing to read my response - I would say my favorite book from the past year is The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed. I also really enjoyed The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner. :-)

Jennifer Mathieu I'm so sorry I'm answering this so late!! I think I wanted to become an author because I couldn't stop making up stories in my head and just knew I needed to get them down on paper - just for myself! Then I ended up discovering that other people wanted to read them, too. I just love stories and have - ever since I wrote my first novel in fifth grade! LOL!
Jennifer Mathieu Hi! I'm so glad you are enjoying my books. I'm hoping I can come to the UK in 2019 - but there are no definite plans yet! I'll post once I know something for sure!

My UK publisher will be putting out my other two novels, Afterward and Devoted, after The Truth About Alice. They will also be putting out my fifth book eventually, which I am still working on. It doesn't have a title yet, but it's about a brother, a sister, an island, and lots of secrets!

xoxo jennifer
Jennifer Mathieu Adriana, I am so so so sorry for being so late to answer - I hope you are reading this! I didn't realize GR allowed readers to ask me questions here and I am rarely on GR anymore! There are not any existing plans to write more about Alice BUT if you can check out Kisses and Curses, a Fierce Reads anthology, you will see a short story in there by me called Dynamite Junior. It's told from the perspective of a girl named Carmen who moves to Healy from Houston after something bad happens to her family...she sees the whole Alice drama through her eyes so it's sort of like fan fiction that I wrote for my own story - LOL! I hope you're reading this and so so so sorry for the delay! xoxo

Jennifer Mathieu I am soooooo super sorry for this incredibly late response (like years late!) but I literally only tonight right now realized readers could ask me questions on GR. I'm rarely on here! Right now there are no plans for an ALICE sequel...I struggle with my thoughts about Alice and Kurt...part of me wants them to get together romantically and part of me thinks they will just be good friends. My editor is convinced they stay together forever...one thing I can tell you is they will always matter to each other and they will always be close. Thank you for reading and I'm so sorry for being so late to write you back!!!!! xoxo
Jennifer Mathieu OMG I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS! Gah! I am sooooo bad on GR and as you can see I only JUST NOW realized readers could ask me questions on this page! I am rarely on GR but would love to follow you on Twitter if you are on there! You can find me @jenmathieu. SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY and thank you so much for reading!! Glad you like my stories!!!! xoxo
Jennifer Mathieu I'm soooooo sorry for answering so late...I didn't know I could get questions on GR!! ACK! I think we've connected on Twitter? Or have we even met in person?? To answer your question, my interest in the QF movement started from my interest in the Duggar family and it grew from there. After I read the nonfiction text Quiverfull: Inside the Christian Patriarchy by Kathryn Joyce, I knew I would be basing my next novel in that world. Thank you for reading and glad you enjoyed!
Jennifer Mathieu I am soooooo sorry I am so late in answering this - I didn't realized readers could ask me questions here. Gah! I feel like with each novel I am getting better at incorporating diversity. With my upcoming novel MOXIE I tried very hard to create a portrait of intersectional feminism with regard to race and sexuality. It's something I'm consciously working on as an author.
Jennifer Mathieu I am DEEPLY SORRY for the delay as I only JUST NOW realized readers could ask me questions here!! To answer your question, I was raised Roman Catholic and pretty intensely, too. I went to Catholic school for 13 years. Currently I attend a progressive Lutheran church. I consider myself a progressive Christian. Thanks for your question and for reading DEVOTED!
Jennifer Mathieu OMG I just realized I had questions here on my GR page! So sorry for the delay!!! If I could pick one book...hmmmm....I'm not sure. I would love to see what ALICE would look like as a TV show...because I think there are a lot of stories left in Healy and would love to see what would happen senior year!
