Bryan Prosek I appreciate your candid comments. I read every review and take them into consideration.
Bryan Prosek I think that in every species (if there are others in addition to human beings) and in every race there are good people and there are bad/violent people. However, I believe there are far more good than bad people. Unfortunately, the voice of the bad is generally louder and is heard far more often than the voice of the good. So for example, Romalor in The Brighter the Stars, is obviously bad and violent and that flows down through his ranks. However, in the sequel that I am currently writing, The Darker the Night, I will be introducing Romalor's son who will be good. He will have changed the ways of Craton and will become an ally of Jake Saunders. I hope this answers your question.
Bryan Prosek The book I am currently writing is a sequel to The Brighter the Stars. It's called The Darker the Night. As with most of my ideas, I just start imagining a world or universe and I start filling it with people and see where it goes.. My imagination is helped along by years of watching and reading science fiction.
Bryan Prosek I am currently working on my final edits to A Measure of Serenity which is due out this summer, 2021, through my publisher, CamCat Publishing.
Bryan Prosek My advice for aspiring writers is to never give up. Whether it's a mental block in your story, finding time to write, or multiple rejection letters from agents and publishers, just keep trying. Keep moving forward no matter how slowly you're moving.
Bryan Prosek For me, the best thing about being a writer is the ability to use my imagination and create any world or person that I want to. This is true, of course, since I write fiction.
Bryan Prosek I think I deal with writer's block differently than most authors. I actually just start writing. When I don't know where to go next or what to do next in a story, I either start where I left off or go to another chapter in my rough outline and just start writing anything remotely related to the story. From there, ideas seem to start flowing.
