Bryan Prosek I think that in every species (if there are others in addition to human beings) and in every race there are good people and there are bad/violent people. However, I believe there are far more good than bad people. Unfortunately, the voice of the bad is generally louder and is heard far more often than the voice of the good. So for example, Romalor in The Brighter the Stars, is obviously bad and violent and that flows down through his ranks. However, in the sequel that I am currently writing, The Darker the Night, I will be introducing Romalor's son who will be good. He will have changed the ways of Craton and will become an ally of Jake Saunders. I hope this answers your question.
