Sorry I didn't see this 9 months ago! Hopefully you figured it out. I think the book ends well, but it was kind of hard getting there. Definitely a book for those with literary endurance.

As I reclined comfortably on our dog-hair covered recliner, reading a nearly two decade old and deliciously enjoyable science-fiction novel, my ears picked up muffled thuds from the footsteps sounding down the upstairs hall toward the well-worn carpeted stairs. Slowly, I put the book down and gulped nervously, eyes wide open, because I remembered: the rest of my family was out at the movies.

Edgar Rice Burroughs' The Land That Time Forgot trilogy (which I already started but will likely be leisurely reading it through the summer), Hugh Howey's Shift (Silo, #2), Walter Jon Williams' Destiny's Way (Star Wars New Jedi Order #14), and probably something by either Isaac Asimov or Robert Heinlein.

Today: Started a new Tunnels & Trolls-based play-by-post joint narrative with friends at the Blue Frog Tavern. Taran Dracon the orc has one more adventure left in him. Submitted a draft for the Glow scenario. Need to expand it, make it more detailed. Thanks Tom for the feedback. Does this answer overwrite the previous one? I guess it does. Odd.
2 months ago: Several months back, Tom at Peryton Publishing asked me to write a scenario based in my home town for Peryton Publishing's Glow: Post-Apocalyptic Role Playing. I keep mulling it over. It is going to have something to do with Atlanta metro's MARTA stations or rails. I've had some recent inspiration and actually put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard) but it isn't much of anything yet.
