As I reclined comfortably on our dog-hair covered recliner, reading a nearly two decade old and deliciously enjoyable science-fiction novel, my ears picked up muffled thuds from the footsteps sounding down the upstairs hall toward the well-worn carpeted stairs. Slowly, I put the book down and gulped nervously, eyes wide open, because I remembered: the rest of my family was out at the movies.

Hey! Just read your review of Ancillary Justice and have two tidbits to toss into the mix: 1) I had lots of trouble working things out, too, which is usually not the case, & even stopped reading when I was 3/4 through it, which I NEVER do. I was going to go back & try again for Book Club, which brings me to... 2) I thought this was/is the book we’re discussing at the 2/12 meeting- is that not the case?
