Hi! I love re-reading books, and I've cycled back to Vic Tanzi--thanks for the fun! I just read the article about you in the Valley News, and noted that we both were involved with AFS (my family had a German student), I also went to Middlebury College as a Spanish Major, and I'm betting you also had John Clagett for a class or two in creative writing ...? I'm a native Vermonter, and love reading books set in Vermont.
C.I. Dennis Thanks Marna! My favorite writing teacher in college was Barry Hannah, who taught me to just get words on paper and not worry too much--there will be plenty of time to (obsessively) edit later. He was right.

No question, CI just a comment about how much I have enjoyed the Tanzi series. Have binge-read all but Tanzi's Ice. Will be sad when I have finished it. Are you working on more in this series? Certainly hope so! Sincerely, Mary

I thoroughly enjoyed Tanzi's Heat. I noticed your book is perfectly edited - a rarity today. I hope you don't mind I'm sharing some comments: 1. Worse than that was that I had thought that Barbara (a lot of thats in a row). 2. I zipped up and returned to the kitchen. (? ewww - please wash your hands.) 3. I got a shower... (My husband's Italian - I got a shower is so Italian. Instead of I took a shower) XO

What are you currently working on?
C.I. Dennis The fifth Tanzi book is in progress, but I am also hard at work on a completely different novel. It is set in a small town in northernmost New England (where I live). Part of the concept came from a trial of a man who was accused of sexually abusing a much-younger girl. I was on the jury that day, and the case got thrown out hours after it began, on a technicality. I still carry that memory of justice gone awry. There is a lot more to the story, and I am currently steeped in it...

Meanwhile, Vince fans can expect a fifth installment sometime in 2017. Thank you, gentle readers!

How do you get inspired to write?
C.I. Dennis Coffee! Most of my writing is done in the early morning while the brain synapses are firing and the distractions are fewer.
