Addison Dixon The third book in "The Star & Cicatrix Legacy." I am currently writing out the chapters.
Addison Dixon Max sat down to read his first Agatha Christie and murder mystery book, "And Then There Were None." As he got further and further into the story, his heart raced--he felt as though the murderer was in the house with him . . . suddenly a creaking sound stole his attention in the hall--Max gulped, put the book down, and, after locking his bedroom door, headed to bed . . . he'd finish the story next week.

Addison Dixon I've actually re-published my book--it is now called "A Star Appears," Book 1 of "The Star & Cicatrix Series." It came out last month.
Addison Dixon Hello! I am currently getting everything situated with my book(s). The first one is (hopefully) going to be released March 1st of this year.
I appreciate it! That would be great! I'd have to say fantasy is my favorite genre. What is yours?
Thank you! I hope you have a wonderful day as well!
Addison Dixon As a child, I always loved telling my family stories. I also live in the woods, which fed my imagination and so I loved pretending magical creatures lived within the trees. My mom used to read books to my brother and me as children, and as I started getting into reading myself around the ages of 11/12, I became more interested in writing. I was encouraged by others to write my stories down, since I'd always drawn my characters and their situations a lot and would orally tell about the events. My first fully developed story was written between the ages of 12-16.
Addison Dixon Many. Including rereading the Eragon series, The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, rereading The Laura Ingalls series (about to start On the Banks of Plumb Creek), possibly Catch A Falling Star, The Scorch Trials, finishing up Flight of Arrows by Lori Benton, rereading the Chronicles of Narnia, and Lord of the Rings--among others.
Addison Dixon Ellyn and Zane from Sensible & Sensational, by Jenni James. I would have to say they are my favorite because they such a sweet couple, and very real (in my opinion). Zane is a great (not a "perfect") character and reminds me of my own boyfriend, and Ellyn is relatable to myself.
Addison Dixon I'm actually in the midst of editing my next book, which is the sequel to How the Magic Began ~ The Star. I'm thinking it might be sometime later this year that it will be published.
Addison Dixon I have always enjoyed telling stories since I was a small child. I would draw pictures and make up a story to go with it. The road trips my family has taken, the woods in which I live and played in as a child, the people around me, the stuff I learn in and out of school, and just different things in my life all have an impact on my writing.
Addison Dixon Knowing the possibility that the book's readership has reached/is reaching a wider audience instead of just family and close friends. Plus, I believe it is a great opportunity to share my story with others, since I've always enjoyed telling stories.
Addison Dixon If you want to write something, do it! Don't hold anything back. Do not give up on your dreams and do not let rejections bring you down. Allow them to help you build your persistence and develop thick-skin. Go at it!
Addison Dixon Using my imagination!
Addison Dixon I take a break from writing and read--a lot. I also love traveling, so I use that as an inspiration and simply experiences in my life.
Addison Dixon Thank you!

And, in answer to your question--basically, I believe the best way you can become a good author is by simply writing what you love. Base your story off of actual experiences and events. Also, read A LOT. Especially in the genre you want to write.
Addison Dixon I don't think so. I suppose unless you messaged them and recommended the author. But I think you can only recommend books.
Addison Dixon You're fine! I'm 20.
