I have a few favourites. From the old days! Dempsey and Makepeace; Bodie & Doyle; Dalziel & Pascoe; Frost and whoever he was teamed up with at the time; the old Sherlock (Basil Rathbone) & Watson; Gently & Bacchus; Morse & Lewis; Saga & Martin from The Bridge; I've just watched the new Amazon Bosch series and read all the Michel Connelly books - Bosch is an excellent character, but his partner not so. Why do I like them? Two reasons - the interaction between the pair, and the fact that they're interesting characters in their own right, Tim

Thanks for the question Abhishek, which is a good one! All I need now is a good answer. I certainly miss being in the head of Genghis Khan. I have actually written 25,000-words of Curse of China, so it wouldn't take an enormous effort to complete it. How about I make that effort to complete it in the early part of next year, Tim

I am about to complete a book on Genghis Khan by Sam Djang. After that I plan to start your books as I am in a Genghis Khan reading mode right Thanks,
I am about to complete a book on Genghis Khan by Sam Djang. After that I plan to start your books as I am in a Genghis Khan reading mode right now and I have heard praise for your books from various sources. I guess there would be atleast 2 more books in the series and I hope that you pen them at the earliest ( just a reader's enthusiasm :D ).

Nearly half-way through 'Whispers of the Dead' (Tom Gabriel 2), and then I'm planning on writing something new: 'Little Boy Blue', which will be a bit grittier than my usual fayre - about an ex-copper called Cromwell who operates in the grey area between right and wrong. After that, I'll be back to Parish & Richards (14) 'A Time to Kill'.

I'm my own boss. I write full time now. I decide when and what I write. Nobody is pressurising me, except me. Deadlines are self-imposed. If I succeed it's my success. If I fail it's down to me. But the very best thing is this: I'm doing what I love to do - now that's a life with no regrets!

I never get writer's block. The way I see it is this: If you're a writer then ideas are tumbling to get out. The issues are where to start, or how to start, which are technical issues. My advice is to start in the middle of the action, and learn the technics of writing so that they become second nature.

I'm always inspired to write. It's not as if it appears like a headache, and I'm not saying I always feel like writing, but if I did - I could. I get up at 5 in the morning and get stuck in for three hours. After a shower and walking the dogs, I get cracking again and carry on at intervals throughout the day.

I'm nearly half-way through 'Whispers of the Dead' (Tom Gabriel 2), but a new novella will be coming out in a week or so called 'An Ill Wind', which will be part of a brand new anthology 'Walking with the Dead' featuring tales from Rick Murcer, Traci Hohenstein, Larry Kelter, Jenny Milchman and Rebecca Stroud.
