Well, they're not exactly a couple, but Holmes and Watson would be my favorite. I've always been a mystery fan and the Holmes stories are the best, in both writing and in adventure. And other detective/sidekick combinations haven't quite matched them, in my opinion. Poirot and Hastings were pretty good, and of course, Nick and Nora Charles in the Thin Man movies. But Holmes and Watson will always be at the top of my list.
Other than mysteries, I don't read much fiction where couples appear frequently. I really enjoyed the Dragon Tattoo books with the collaboration between Blomquist and Salander.

I just finished a project, republishing John Adams three volume work, A Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America.
I have another idea for a book, but it's not completely formed yet, I need to do some research.

I put the project aside for a while. Do something else. Read about something different. For example, for me, reading a mystery novel was relaxing and I came back to my book project refreshed.

Take the time to get your book to look and sound how you want it to be. The final product is worth all the work, so you can fully enjoy reading your own book.

I'm currently working on a book publishing a series of essays by John Quincy Adams, written during the early days of the French Revolution.

I was reading John Adams' Thoughts on Government and thought to myself, "I could write a book boiling down the basics of government." And it took off from there.
