Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Will Butts Well, they're not exactly a couple, but Holmes and Watson would be my favorite. I've always been a mystery fan and the Holmes stories are the best, in both writing and in adventure. And other detective/sidekick combinations haven't quite matched them, in my opinion. Poirot and Hastings were pretty good, and of course, Nick and Nora Charles in the Thin Man movies. But Holmes and Watson will always be at the top of my list.

Other than mysteries, I don't read much fiction where couples appear frequently. I really enjoyed the Dragon Tattoo books with the collaboration between Blomquist and Salander.
