I have had the opportunity to travel and live in many countries, and I must admit that everything has an impact on my writing. Not just the beauty and culture of a place, but how it feels for me. The smells (good and bad), sounds, and the emotions.
I had not noticed how much information I had picked up during my travels until I began adding some of it into my stories.

In the aftermath of the 2004 Tsunami in Ache Indonesia, my business partner and I touched down at Ache airport on a flight from Jakarta. I had organised a twenty-minute meeting with the government official who was second in charge of the Ache reconstruction.
Aus-aid had requested my business partner take a look at Ache to see if a proposal he had submitted to them for the reconstruction of Fiji after a typhoon had hit the main island, could work for Ache.
The meeting went for almost two hours with the Government official scheduling a meeting for us with his boss the very next day, he was extremely excited by what we were proposing.
By the end of 2005, our company had organised signatures from thirty-five thousand families to rebuild communities, homes, and businesses, Aus-Aid had issued a document outlining that our company had been allocated over five hundred million dollars, to be used as low-interest loans, for this purpose.
January of 2006, Aus-Aid altered how they would spend aid money and it all turned to shit.

We are all capable of creating, if you feel that writing is what you should be doing, then just do it. You will find the best way to express yourself by doing, not by thinking about it. Put pen to paper as they say, or get clicking on your keyboard.

When I write fiction, I enjoy creating, new people, places, situations, etc. When I am being guided in my writing for my spiritual books I must say the best thing is the connection to the Devine Cosmos. For those that have experienced this, you know exactly what I am talking about.

Write something else, focus on a different subject for a while and then go back to what I was working on.

Within the deepest remaining part of the Amazon jungle, under the bright glow of the new moon, an eruption of dirt and foliage is taking place on the jungle floor. Emerging from the eruption, a dark figure steps forth into the jungle, a seven-foot-tall behemoth of a creature named Trahralos, his only focus is to eliminate what is causing the deforestation within the jungle, which of course is humanity.
