Goodreads asked Desmond Knipe:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Desmond Knipe In the aftermath of the 2004 Tsunami in Ache Indonesia, my business partner and I touched down at Ache airport on a flight from Jakarta. I had organised a twenty-minute meeting with the government official who was second in charge of the Ache reconstruction.
Aus-aid had requested my business partner take a look at Ache to see if a proposal he had submitted to them for the reconstruction of Fiji after a typhoon had hit the main island, could work for Ache.
The meeting went for almost two hours with the Government official scheduling a meeting for us with his boss the very next day, he was extremely excited by what we were proposing.
By the end of 2005, our company had organised signatures from thirty-five thousand families to rebuild communities, homes, and businesses, Aus-Aid had issued a document outlining that our company had been allocated over five hundred million dollars, to be used as low-interest loans, for this purpose.
January of 2006, Aus-Aid altered how they would spend aid money and it all turned to shit.
