Is there a genre you haven't explored yet that you are wanting to go down and if so, what is it?
Michelle Irwin I'd love to get back into my ideas for Steampunk and twisted fairytales.

can we have a Next Gen series in Evie and Clays world - Pretty please?
Michelle Irwin It is definitely one of the things I would like to write. I think exploring some of the years between the last chapter and the epilogue from the younger characters would be lots of fun. As with everything, it'll depend if they pop up with a good story

Dear Michelle, I finished few days ago Declan Reede's story and I just started Phoebe's story and I can't wait for next book on this series! I do not know if you have already mentioned this in the past but how many books are there going to be for Phoebe??? Thanks in advance for your response!
Michelle Irwin Hi. Thank you! And thank you for the question. The best answer I can give is...a few LOL. I had a plan, and the characters kept pushing for just a little more. There will definitely be at least 3 more, but including an alternate POV take of one book and a little more the characters want to say, there will most likely be 7 books in total. At this stage, the books are going to be released every three months and I'm madly writing away to sure up these deadlines.

Not really much of a question, but more curious. After reading the synopsis of Decline, I was wondering if you had ever been to the track here in Bathurst - Mount Panorama? I was born in Bathurst and have lived here for 26 years, so have driven around the track myself numerous times. Looking forward to reading Decline.
Michelle Irwin Hi :) No, unfortunately I haven't made it down that way yet. What I have in the book is based on research (and by research, I mean lots and lots of hours watching the awesome V8s and other classes race there LOL, as well as a few other methods). One day, I will make it down there and I'll watch the race live and in person, until then I'll have to make do living vicariously through Declan's exploits.

Michelle Irwin <3 Thank you. The next book in this series will be Clay's side of the story in Besieged by Rain (Son of Rain Book 1) due in February 2015. Then Evie's story continues in roughly June 2015 - date to be confirmed.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Michelle Irwin Being able to create a world and breathe life into characters. There's something magical about being given the chance to be a conduit for telling the story of these people--by the time the story is finished they are definitely people.
