I used internet during my travels, and it made things much easier, and I LOVED meeting people via these sites like CS. On the other hand, getting lost is great too - I think some sort of healthy combination is the best ;)

Sorry for late reply - there were many many things, but the bottom line was - I really wanted to travel, and I knew this life is short and if I ever wanted to do it, the time is now. So I just packed and left.
