Sorry about that, Susan and thanks for letting me know. I've updated the posts accordingly (didn't realize the message restriction).
Also, you should have an Audible gift coming your way any minute now.
Thanks!

This is a funny one. My wife and I moved into a new house (we're renting) about a year ago and it came with this brand new dishwasher. It's a beautiful dishwasher and very modern. Digital projector display, super quiet, and I'm sure super expensive. Well, it's a real turd (excuse my language). It really has a mind of its own and drives my wife crazy. So, the idea for ERROR CODE originated from the troubles we had (and still have) with that real-world dishwasher. My wife claimed it was my turn to tell our landlady about the next problem we had, and so reporting the dishwasher issue fell on me to deal with. So, I said I'll write a book about the darn thing and then give my landlady a signed copy of the book with a hint in the message I sign the book with. I plan on doing that soon.

People, places, and things around me inspire me all the time. I keep a simple list of subject matter and anecdotes that I often go to for ideas and projects.

I recently finished work on my new release ERROR CODE, which will be released May 1st, 2016. BTW, if you're a Kindle lover, pre-order before May 3rd for just 99-cents and you'll save 80% over the post-release price of $4.99.
My next project is a novel called SCOTTY. It's going to be a paranormal thriller/horror. I don't have a release date as I'm early in the development phase. It could wind up being a short or an epic novel...we'll see where it takes me :-).

Set your expectations appropriately. Don't write to be a famous mainstream writer. Write because you first enjoy crafting stories and second because you love entertaining readers. Success is subjective. Don't measure your success by fame or fortune, measure it by kudos from readers. Nothing makes my day more than a positive review. There's a flip-side to that coin as well, because a bad review sends me into a tailspin of depressive funk that my wife refers to as my Eeyore mode. Know all of this going in. Pick yourself up and keep going. Remember, if just one reader is entertained by your words, then you are a success.

When I hit a wall, it usually means it's time for me to step away and focus on something else. I usually have a dozen or so projects going on at once. Also, I do all of my own cover artwork, so sometimes I'll switch contexts and go work on the art or on promotional tasks. Alas, after I've put a few hours in on promotional work, then believe you me, I'm ready to write!
