Greed.
In my opinion, it was a combination of the "United States housing bubble" bursting (subprime mortgages) + major decrease in investor confidence.

Hi Travis - Great question! I was born and raised in New York City. As of right now, writing is a hobby of mine. I work for Fortune 500 companies nationwide as an Executive Recruiter, where I spend most of my day interviewing and recruiting successful professionals.
I also own my own publishing company, Navallo Publishing, which means I have complete control over my works. It also allows me to write books that I would like to read, uninterrupted by agents and/or editors. I write primarily motivational/self-help/non-fiction books, geared towards achieving success, both professionally and personally.
One of my key skills, I'd say, is that I have a knack for getting successful people to interview, and I'm a great interviewer. In an upcoming book, I'll be interviewing some of the world's wealthiest individuals. These in-depth interviews will be unlike any other you've seen before. The goal is to really uncover their thought processes and learn about wealth-building strategies that we can apply to our own daily lives.
I hope this helps!

Hi Kia - I have been heavily influenced by Tony Robbin's work over the years. I have read all of his books. The problem most people face, in my opinion, is that they do not fully implement the teachings into their lives. They are inspired for only a short period of time before returning to old habits. Change requires effort. It requires breaking destructive habits to create constructive ones. It requires being someone we are not to achieve a higher result. Once we realize that, our lives will never be the same again!

Yes! so I think that a lot of self help people will get stuck in this rut where they get the drug of inspiration and then simply not follow through. It's very much a hard struggle to claw yourself out of this rut but you have no other choice and the books are there to help provide fuel to your motivation or teach you about how to motivate yourself and to also cut down your learning curve but they can never do the work for you. It always comes down to what you actually do with what you learn.

Read Brian Tracy if you haven't already. A lot of people complain about his books saying the same thing over and over again but the thing is, repetition is the name of the game in that aspect. You want to read the same information over and over and then act on it because it will come into your mind and stay there.
