Cruel Summer 2nd in the TCK Publishing Contest

TCK Publishing Reader’s Choice Awards 2021 contest is over and so is the eight months long competition for my novel Cruel Summer.

After a tough “fight” in which Cruel Summer was also in the lead for a few months, it ended up 2nd in YA and Middle Grade book category with 265 votes. Only in the last few weeks the one book beat it in winning the title of the best YA and Middle Grade book in the fifth annual Reader’s Choice Awards, with 104 books competing this year.

This is a great achievement. I am proud of my book and grateful to everyone who casted their votes for it! It’s been a great experience and thank you all for making this competition so exciting!

My Poetry Book Is the Finalist in the 2022 Wishing Shelf Book Awards

My poetry book, Postcards From Beyond Reality: The Selected Poems of Michael Daniels , is 2022 finalist in the Wishing Shelf Book Awards Category 4: Books for Teenagers!

The winners will be announced on April 1st, 2023.

The Wishing Shelf Book Awards was set up eleven years ago by children’s author, Billy Bob Buttons. Based in the UK, it is different from most other book awards as it is run by authors and the books are judged by reading groups, not professionals in the publishing industry.

I thank the readers who chose Postcards From Beyond Reality: The Selected Poems of Michael Daniels to be among the twenty-two finalists in the Books for Teenagers category and Billy Bob Buttons for the lovely certificate and medal!

Congratulations to all the finalists of the 2022 Wishing Shelf Book Awards.
