One year ago today, Wishing on Baby Dust released into the world, the day before my birthday. It was the most amazing present, and this last year has been a crazy ride that I wouldn’t change for anything! I’ve learned so much in the last year, and I still have so much I need to learn.

Growing up, birthdays were kind of a big deal in my family. We didn’t so much celebrate for a day as for an entire weekend…or sometimes even a week.

I always loved my birthday, because it was far enough from Christmas to still feel like a separate holiday, but close enough that I could save all my Christmas money, combine it with my birthday money, and buy whatever I wanted that I hadn’t already received. Usually what I wanted was more books.

Writing and working on this book has been a struggle from the get-go. For some reason, Sienna’s story has never come easily to me. But I learned a lot during this story, and I have grown to love Sienna and Aaron so much. I hope you’ll love them as well.
