“The most important outcome of education is that students have a good quality of life and are productive members of society. Employment is the critical component for a successful quality of life for people with disabilities. Good jobs and/or careers that offer meaningful work, good pay and benefits, and social inclusion provide the key for successful outcomes. Page 3.”
Keith Storey, Case Studies in Transition and Employment for Students and Adults with Disabilities

“People with disabilities not only need to be given lives, they need to be given lives worth living. (paraphrased, not a direct quote))”
Helen Keller

“As Bernard Shaw said, “He who can, does: he who cannot, teaches.” But, as Sydney J. Harris put it, “Let’s revise Shaw’s foolish saying to ‘He who can, does; he who understands, teaches.”
Sydney J. Harris, The Best of Sydney J. Harris

“One person manages another in the sense that he manages himself. He does not do so by changing feelings or states of mind. The Greek gods were said to change behavior by giving men mental states such as pride, mental confusion, or courage, but no one has been successful in doing so since. One person changes the behavior of another by changing the world in which he lives. In doing so, he no doubt changes what the other person feels or introspectively observes.”
B. F. Skinner
