I mentioned on my Twitter (http://twitter.com/karinlow) that come 2012, it would be 10 years since WARCHILD was published and I was thinking of running some kind of contest to win some swag, and to say thank you to all of my readers who've followed my career this far. I'm going to go ahead and run this contest.

The details are still being worked out and I'll take a picture of the swag. It's not going to be a random contest, I've decided, where names just get put in a hat and I pick them at random. I want real fans who would really want the prizes to submit.

It's a story from my Warchild Universe, chronicling Niko's parents who were involved in the beginning of the war and became infamous sympathizers to the aliens. I loved writing this and solidifying a history I'd only hinted at in the novels.

The fourth book in the Warchild Universe mosaic series, MATROYSHKA, is finished (but there's still editing to do). In the meantime, here is the backcover blurb:

Jascha Terisov and his broken family are refugees.
