Eva’s Byte #302 – The White Stuff

Snow—a lovely to sight to behold, but weighty as gold when you have to remove it from the surfaces on which it adheres.

One of those hardy New Englanders who’s accustomed to the wrath of a Nor’easter, I’ve begun to view the white stuff as my nemesis. Herman Melville’s menacing Moby Dick,
based on the real albino whale called Mocha Dick, comes to mind.

As of late, sightings of the white stuff have occurred at a good clip. In the East Bay area:

Feb. 7 = 7 in.
Feb. 9 = 1 to 3 in.
We’re due for more white stuff on the 14th.

Pragmatic like a true New Englander, weather forecasts of snow heavily influence supermarket runs for bread and milk before we batten down the hatches.

In my capacity of an author, my nemesis of white stuff is in the guise of facing a blank 9 ½ x 11 page. Leaving behind tracks of fresh footprints, I’m blazing a trail inside my Contemporary work in progress along the juncture of Chapter 66.

*Through sheer will and determination, may each of us overcome our nemesis by forging footprints where no one else has gone.

My sincere appreciation if you’ve read this far.
