Eva’s Byte #381 – Once in a Lifetime
I’m thinking about those once-in-a-lifetime experiences which are highly unlikely to happen again. Some of mine were undertaken on a lark. Others were choices which fit my mindset at the time.
On a lark, I’d ridden on the back of a motorcycle for a spin. By choice, just once in my lifetime.
Just once, I cooked shrimp risotto and it came out great. My beginner’s luck in creating a creamy texture resulted from constantly stirring the rice.
During my third decade of life, I decided to take piano lessons and purchased an upright Kimball. I signed up for weekly lessons in classical music training which required at-home self-discipline to master scales and simplified compositions. As lessons grew more demanding, and life took its own course, it became apparent I no longer had the time to hit the high notes.
However, since 2007, I have stuck with writing for publication despite the struggles an Indie author endures. At this point in time, I’m in the throes of drafting chapter 17 (1463 words thus far) of my Contemporary work in progress.
*May each of us keep an open mind when it comes to approaching new experiences—if only once.
My sincere appreciation for reading this far.
