Eva’s Byte #300 – The Mindfulness of Words
A writer who agonizes over putting one word in front of the other, I’m celebrating the mindfulness of words in my tricentennial blog.
The writer’s placement of words spreading from sentences to paragraphs and pages has the potential to leave readers mindful of our stories long past the finish line.
My mindfulness shifted, even if for fleeting moments at a time, upon coming across a passage in a magazine which summed up the themes of its stories in single words:
Kindness
Patience
Humor
Grace
In my mind’s eye, these words have a soul all of their own. Any one of us could add more words to this list of spiritual essentials for mindful living. I think these words and others like them are perfect for painting on rocks to remind us of what is important for our well-being.
If the option for personalizing is available when purchasing a gnome to add to my collection, I’m proceeding with mindful words. Thus far: Hope and Believe have made their presence known.
Mindful of making inroads through my Contemporary work in progress, I finished drafting chapter 64 of Part 3 after struggling to find all the right words that would pass muster with my harshest critic: me.
*May each of us persevere in cultivating mindfulness of the higher self as a means of achieving inner peace and harmony.
My sincere appreciation if you’ve read this far.
