Wie ließe sich das neue Jahr besser anfangen als mit Literatur? ;-)
Beim Radiosender Radio 889 FM Kultur.de gibt es zum wiederholten Mal die Aktion "Literatur zwischen den Jahren" mit Lesungen unterschiedlicher Autor*innen aus ihren Werken. Dieses Neujahr bin auch ich dabei.
Wer mich aus meinem ersten Roman FLIESSEN lesen hören möchte, schaltet am ersten Januar 2023 zwischen ca. 12.00 und 13.00 Uhr das Radio ein: 889fmkultur.de.

there are always lots of good reasons to read good literature, but this week, there are even more reasons to read interesting books, especially my own novels! 📚📖😊

1) Toaster Oven / Sapphic Awakening Week (April 21-April 25) for the I Heart SapphFic Reading Challenge has begun, which means that a lot of “Toaster Oven” / “Sapphic Awakening” books are on sale, including my own novel Flowing like Water! 🌊🧜‍♀️

2) April 23 is World Book Day, also known as International Day of the Book – a celebration to promote the enjoyment of books and the perfect day to engage in reading activities! 📚📖

3) International Lesbian Visibility Week is an annual observance in several countries dedicated to increasing the awareness of lesbian women and their issues, starting with Lesbian Visibility Day on April 26. 👩‍❤️‍👩📖
On this occasion, I Heart SapphFic is hosting a 99c sale. Sale dates are April 24 through April 26, 2025, which means that you can indulge yourself in sapphic books for three whole days! And maybe you’ll find something written by me there, too … 😉📖

4) Buying and reading books, especially lesbian and sapphic books, is a great way to support (particularly lesbian / sapphic, in this case) writers in these difficult times. 📚💰

5) It’s well worth it and it’s fun: now, next week and always! 📖💕

It’s Pride Month, Audiobook Month and Queer Reading Month! 🏳️‍🌈📚👂📖🥳🎉
And as sad and infuriating as it may be, in times like these, reading and listening to LGBTQIA+ literature is a revolutionary act in some countries.
So don’t hesitate to read and listen to as many good queer books as you can, talk about them and share your insights with other readers!
