NEW STUFF!
Dear readers.
I would firstly like to apologise for my first novel 'Schonling'. Not in it's entirety...but for the typos. When I published it back in March,I was so happy to have actually completed a book that I tossed it out to the world without a good enough edit. The book wasn't ready to fly unaided.
Can we excuse this as a newbie error?
I understand as an avid reader that seeing typos can annoy me and put me off a story. But actually, when I thought about it and books I adore, even with typos, I find a little comfort.
I love the 'In the Company of Shadows' series and have learned alot from Authors Santino Hassell and Ais Lin and their experience with their books and errors. Newbie author's generally just cannot afford proffessional editing. But should that prevent us from sharing our work with the world? Sonny and Ais were writing for the love of it and the simple joy of sharing a story. And then it grew and became a cult hit. No matter the errors in those books, the story shone through and the passion of the writing made the series a hidden gem, in need of a little polish, but strangely perfect in its imperfection.
I found reading that series profoudly inspirational. And so, in putting my own WIP out to public scruitiny I hoped that readers would give a newbie, self publisher a chance.
I have learned alot with my first experience of self publishing and am disappointed that some imperfections in spelling and jumpy format may have put some readers off completing the book. I would like to thank those readers who could look beyond the small flaws and find the beautiful and touching story beneath. Because I do think it is a beautiful story, and it deserves an audience.
I have now re-edited 'Schonling' and it has a brand new cover. I am also close to releasing 'New York's In Love'- an M/M prequel novella about the 'bromance' between my characters Pieter Bayer and his best friend Simeon Duchamp. It is a funny, hot and sweet story of unrequited love, set over a month of them living together in NYC. The events occur six months before 'Schonling'.
I am also completing the third book in the Pretty Boy series,'Sweet Thing', an M/M novel that follows on from where we left off in 'Schonling' with Simeon Duchamp's story. It is possibly the best in the series, in my opinion. Simeon's a funny, sweet, but broken young man and his journey from 'New York's in Love', throught 'Schonling' and onto his own story in 'Sweet Thing' is a roller coaster and deeply moving.
I do hope you'll come along for the ride.

Audiobook #2
Hello, Dear readers.
The audiobook for "Illuminate the Shadows" has been proofed and approved, and OMG! it is SERIOUSLY hot. Gary Furlong does such an amazing job with Declan Ramsay's Scot's accent, and if you've already read this book you will know that Declan does a 'bit' of dirty talk! Gary gets so into it. ;-)
I am hoping that Audible will release the audiobook by the 16th June. I will keep you all posted.
I will also have a new release by the end of June. "Sweet Thing" is from my Pretty Boy series, about a couple of male model best friends, unrequited love, betrayal and the search for a happy ending. "Sweet Thing" is Simeon Duchamp's M/M Romance story, and it is gorgeous - as is the cover! Take a look here:
Thanks for reading, and for leaving reviews.
Warmest wishes
Isobel. x
