I was born and raised in India and migrated to the United States in 1965. After working more than thirty years in the Phildelphia civil service, I retired as a director of information technology.
I have written and published poems and short stories in my native language, Punjabi, including an anthology of thirty poems, Pachumi Lehran.
Echoes From Punjab is my first major work written in English.
I live in Sarasota, Florida, with my husband. We are the proud parents of a son, Navdeep and his wife, Simi; daughter, Rimi, and her husband Arun; and three adorable and talented grandchildren, Mira, Surain, and Sarisa.

I love to paint, write, and garden--to see my art work, poetry. and blog, please visit:

Echoes From Punjab readers

It's interesting to share the reactions of the readers of my novel, Echoes From Punjab. Women, raised in India and migrated to America in sixties, resonate with all the ups and downs of the protagonist and have no questions. But my daughter's generation of Indians and Americans react quite differently. A few questions come to their minds as they read on.
