One of my favorite storylines is that of reconciliation, second chances. It’s a bit tricky to pull off, though, because the conflicts that tore the characters apart need to be real and seem insurmountable. Otherwise the characters can seem unlikeable. On the other hand, if there’s growth, readers can forgive someone who realizes they screwed up. We
all sort of want to root for the underdog.

In Crave, Reece wants to marry and collar Sarah. But Sarah finds the collar, and it’s not a thin delicate thing. It’s weighty and meaningful. The sight of it frightens her. In a blind panic, she runs.

But a few years later, she realizes she made a terrible mistake, but she wonders if hindsight makes him and their relationship more appealing than it really was. She hopes one night with him will get him out of her system. So she turns to Julien for help.

In a room at Julien’s birthday party, Reece is stunned, shocked, and not at all pleased to find Sarah in a room waiting for him, on her knees, sexy and submissive as he always dreamed she would be. He struggles internally, from her abandonment, as well as his own desire. One thing hasn’t changed. He still craves her…
