Look behind the Book: Bind (Donovan Dynasty #1)
Book One: Bind
This has already been called my best book yet, and I think Connor Donovan might be part of the reason. Connor intrigued me from the beginning, probably because of his integrity. He’s technically his father’s second son, but he’s the first legitimate heir. So when his father dies, he inherits an empire and a massive responsibility—one he takes seriously.
Because relationships matter to him and he doesn’t have the time to invest, Connor doesn’t date much. So when the lovely Lara Bertrand walks into his office and suggests they get married, he’s stunned.
Marriage of convenience is one of my favorite themes. Through history and still today, people get married for a lot of reasons that don’t have to do with love, and often times they’re a success. But I have to confess that the romantic in me always roots for a happily ever after.
While Lara’s proposition makes sense from a business perspective, Connor has a few rules of his own. Even though the marriage has an end date, he insists they live together. Not only that, he is determined they will be loyal to each other. And since he’s a Dominant, it means that Lara also has to give her submission.
Lara knows it will take all her effort not to let her heart get involved, especially after she offers herself to him, body and mind. Connor Donovan is not just devastatingly handsome, he’s determined, dynamic, but most of all, the exact kind of man she could fall in love with.Bind
