Snow Owl

“I think of him often.

I meet a lot of people ─ flirts, goons, and gentlemen ─ but there’s no one quite like him. He’s a struggling child, a subverted lover, a swimmer with no hope of catching sight of shore. An uncommon stillness in a chaotic world. My world. I think I like him because he lets me bring my lights to his Christmas. He looks at me like I am magic. I am his impossible dream and he is mine.”

I am honored to be featured in the lovely Fem Lit Magazine. #shortstory #romance #rains #Goa #love #fem

Misfits

My mum thinks writing romance will make me be read more. But unfortunately, my brand of romance comes with not a pounding heart, but a torn one. Sometimes healed and sometimes not.

To have your heart torn some, and then healed some, read my story at Litro.

It’s called Misfits.

My short in Chicago Literati’s Magical Realism Issue

My short story Maruni’s Chair was published in Chicago Literati’s Magical Realism Issue today. Please give it some eyeballs and some love. I really enjoy magical realism as a genre and this story was inspired by my mother’s obsession with one specific chair in our house: it’s her comfort in the morning and her succour after a long day.

eFiction Shorts

Every month Fiction Magazines publishes some literary gems from around the world - heart rending, thought provoking and totally entertaining.

This month, read my romantic short story - Snow Owl - at https://www.fictionmagazines.com/shop...

While, Snow Owl is in essence a romantic story, the characters are whimsical ─ a clash of opposites if you will, and the story dreamy ─ a flash in the pan sort of event that leads to a lifetime of magic and intrigue. Every regular life can turn into this, yours and mine, and while there is never a logical end (and better if there is not), the road is charmed enough and that life worth living.
