Review: From Chaos Comes Order is a story about a boy named Jacob whose life is horrible. To add to it, his mother has Alzheimer’s. He is recruited by the Valcrest School. He has a choice to make…does he leave his mother and attend this amazing magical school or stay with his mother.
For the next certain amount of time (you know I don’t give anything away), there are battles with himself and others.
The storyline is very entertaining and pulls you into his world. I enjoyed Jacob, the MC. I have experience with having a sick parent, and I understand a lot of his ideas and thoughts. I really felt for Jacob. The choices that he had to make. His experiences alone make it an emotional page-turner.
I love a story with a magic academy. It makes me think back to the times when I waited for my Hogwarts Letter, which never came. It’s ok. I survived. But now Jacob is faced with the decision…does he attends the story or stays and takes
care of his mother? Read this great book to find out.
The world-building is well written and realistic. The imagery that Jimi wrote really does pull you in. I wasn’t able to take my eyes off the pages. You wouldn’t regret reading this novel.
The cover pulls you right into the story. The colors and images are what grabbed my attention. I give the over an A. Everyone judges a book by its cover. So, why don’t you add an attractive book cover to your collection?

CRITIQUE
The novel requires your full attention. If you take your eyes off of it…you may have to reread the sentence or paragraph. This fact did NOT ruin my rating.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy and magical realism.

Review: I received a copy of Loblolly, Loblolly, You're So Tall in exchange for a true and honest review. I give this children's novel 5/5 stars. The story is concise and well written. I am not an Arborist, so I had to look up what a Loblolly was, but that didn't take away from my score for the story. The story centers around Loblollies and their beauty. The writing prose is perfect for a children’s story. The drawings were so well drawn, and the best part of the book. The cover gets an A from The Writer’s Alley. The cover is very basic, but contains The story was entertaining, and I would recommend the book to school teachers and little children.

Pages: 193
Blurb: How far would you go to catch a serial killer? Rating: 3/5
Cover: B
Review: The world building was interesting.
I did feel like I was in Glasgow. For someone who has never been there, it was interesting.
The plot fell flat for me. Although the plot wasn’t unique, the writing was simplistic but well done.
There wasn't anything that really stood out to me.
The novel gets 3/5 stars from me. If you like mysteries/thrillers, you will enjoy this story. It isn’t the easiest thing to review a genre that isn’t your normal taste. I know that others will enjoy this story.
The cover getsGlasgow Kiss: Episode One: gripping serial killer thriller laced with dark humor a B. The only thing that pulled me in was the typography on the cover.

Dylan's Love
Title: Dylan’s Love
Author: Clyde Andrews
Genre: LGBTQ+/Romance
Pages: 88
Blurb: James is middle-aged. Dylan is young. James has been unlucky in love and Dylan has never been given a reason to believe in love. James has recently gone through a break-up, and Dylan hates being alone. One day, while James is umpiring for the local under twenty-fives pro soccer team, he has a chance encounter with Dylan. There is an immediate attraction. Sparks fly. Even though James is incredibly attracted to Dylan, he has to wonder if that’s enough to take the plunge and try to get over his past experiences with love. And even if he wants to take the chance, Dylan is too young...right? How could they ever work as a couple? A sweet, funny, sporty, and sometimes saucy May/December MM romance.
Rating: 5/5
Cover: A
Review: Clyde Andrews did it again. Dylan's Love is another LGBTQ+ categorical story that involves James and Dylan. James is a middle-aged man and Dylan is younger. The characters are well thought out and relatable. The pace is well thought out. Clyde's writing style is entertaining and effective. He isn’t afraid to use language and descriptions that most other writers stray away from, and I believe that is one reason why he is one of the better writers. A true writer isn’t afraid of what others will think He/She/They write their truth… their story. I find it a success story when I don't remember that I am reading a story, and the story maintains my focus the entire time. The story does make you think, "does age matter?" The story breaks societal stereotypes of age and relationships. I truly believe that it’s 2019, and society needs to stop worrying about why a younger man/woman/person wants to date someone who is older and NOT label another person as a gold digger, etc. Let’s bring nothing but positivity into this world. There’s enough negativity.
Dylan’s Love gets 5/5 stars from me, and it earns an A for the cover. I love the style that Clyde has decided to use for his series of novellas.
It's another cute story from Clyde, and anyone who enjoys LGBTQ+ stories then this is another one you should check out.

A Magic's Betrayal
Title: Magic’s Betrayal
Author: Lorri Moulton, Jazzmyn Storm
Genre: Fantasy
Pages: 361
Blurb: When a kelpie asks for your help, it's probably a good idea to say yesAs two humans learn more about a magical battle that impacts both their kingdoms, they soon realize there's more at stake than who controls magic. They could lose their lands and their freedom if they can't stop an evil sorceress, who is willing to destroy everything to regain her power.
Rating: 4/5
Cover: B
Review: I was approached to conduct a true and honest review of Magic's Betrayal via The Writer's Alley website. I was intrigued by the pitch and the cover of the book. I always enjoy a good story with magic and magical beings...who doesn't? I want to state that I enjoyed the story, but every story has things that could be improved. The writing was good, but what I do have to say is that I struggled with the "show" vs "tell" motif in this story. The entire time that I was reading, I felt as though I was observing what was happening instead of being in the moment. Now, this is why I gave the story 4/5 stars. I believe that it's a preference thing. Some people may not be bothered by the "show" vs "tell" subject. The author has a good idea, and as I stated above, I enjoyed reading.
The cover gets a B from me. It has nice images. I felt that there could’ve been with it.

Review: Paul Blake's A Young Man's Game is filled with action that holds your attention, characters that are relatable; relatable in the way that they make you experience the entire wheel of emotions. Paul's descriptions are on point, and the reader can visualize everything that is happening. The story held my attention the whole time. Alec is such a dynamic and realistic protagonist. The actions sequences show how a 51 year-old-man would operate in such conditions.
I have loved the city of Berlin my whole life, and the amount of detail he put into world building is outstanding. I give this story a strong 5/5 stars. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves this genre, and people who enjoy Jason Bourne-style action.
The cover gets a strong A. The colors work well with the image. It has a Western European vibe, and it is very fitting for the theme of the story.

Between Two Minds Book Review
Between Two Minds: AwakeningTitle: Between Two Minds: Awakening
Author: D.C. Wright-Hammer
Pages: 340
Genre: Scifi/Thriller
Book Blurb: How much would you pay for the body of your dreams? For Ryan, it might cost him everything. As a paraplegic, Ryan’s always dreamed of walking. He saved a small fortune to undergo a common procedure in his time to transfer his mind into a physically fit host body. Afterward, his obsession with walking is immediately overshadowed by a strange and frightening side effect unraveling the reality he once knew. Plot twists that will keep you guessing until the very last chapterThis psychological thriller take the reader on an adventure far beyond the potential consequences of transferring one’s consciousness to a new body. The interweaving storyline will have the reader second guessing what is real and what is a dream, and prove that knowing the truth can be the difference between life and death. A well written, fast-paced science fiction thriller reminiscent of Philip K. Dick, William Gibson, Michael Crichton, and Aldous Huxley
Rating: 5.0/5.0
Cover: A
Review: I received a copy in exchange for a true and honest review. I really enjoyed this story. The story centers around Ryan, who is disabled. He pursues mind migration! This idea has always intrigued me; the idea of transferring one's consciousness into another mind/body. This idea alone drew me to the story. Ryan was such a relatable and powerful character. Dynamic. Realistic. It truly makes you wonder how one in his position would react.
There were shifts between POV, but I remembered the topic; mind migration. The shifts in POV didn’t affect my rating.
I really like it when authors try things, and I commend D.C. Wright-Hammer for doing it.
The futuristic world was well written. I felt as though I was there. And, the story maintained its hold on my attention. The idea of mind migration has been used in movies, tv shows, stories, etc. And I have always wondered how/if this process is possible. As I stated, the story makes you think. You should give it a try.
The cover is appealing. I believe that D.C. Wright-Hammer did a fantastic job, and I can't wait to read more of his work. I give the cover an A. The images are nice, and it tells a little about the story, but it doesn’t give it away, which is important. The reader MUST form their own opinion and experience.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Scifi/Thrillers.
Overall, I give Between Two Minds: Awakening 5.0/5.0. Between Two Minds: Awakening

Archangel (Shadow Advent #1)
Title: Archangel (Shadow Advent #1)
Author: D. William Landsborough
Genre: Dark Fantasy
Pages: 303
Blurb: Angels are on the brink of extinction.
Demons rule over mankind. It has been a decade since Earth descended into ruin. Smothered in black clouds lies a land plagued with nightmares and pain, the aftermath of the war between Heaven and Hell. The Archangel Uriel has finally been given leave to descend to Earth. He alone can renew the fight against the darkness and reignite the war both sides thought was over. With a mission that seems impossible and a reluctant half-demon helping him, Uriel must go against everything he ever believed in if he wants to bring light back to the world. But the archangel soon finds that this new world is far worse than he ever imagined, and the vicious fangs of demons are the last thing he should fear.
Rating: 5/5

Review: I was given a copy of Archangel in exchange for a true and honest review.
The story centers around Uriel and his descent to earth, thriving with demons. A great battle between Heaven and Hell left the once thriving planet barren and empty. He is on a mission to bring back the light into the world. He has the help of a half-demon. However, Uriel realizes that the world is much worse than he had expected.
On to the review, D. William's adaption of Uriel is interesting and refreshing. It's always interesting to see an author's depiction of a Divine character show "human" characteristics. Uriel's descent upon the earth was beautifully written. The world that D. William created is one that is believable. What a world would seem like with demons everywhere.
The action within the story was well written. The imagery was timed perfectly. Research must have been conducted for the scenes. The scenes are engaging, and they have moments of awe and shock.
The demon-ridden world was a used concept, but D. William's had more emotion. I give Archangel 5/5 stars. It is well worth the read. I recommend Shadows Advent to everyone who likes to read fantasy (any subgenre)/lovecraftian/sci-fi. You won't regret the time invested in the story.
The cover is also well done. I absolutely love the image used for Archangel. I give the cover A. I look forward to reading more of D. William's works.

Review: Metamorphs is an excellent story with great characters and an amazing world. I couldn't put the book down (stop flipping through the kindle version). Tristan is a young child that finds out that he is a part of a special family, individuals that are Metamorphs. The story has themes/ tropes as Marvel’s X-men, a group of individuals with amazing powers. The characters are compelling and realistic. They have their flaws, which is important in a story. A novel’s characters must be relatable, or no one will read it or like it.
The characters grew throughout the story at a nice pace. My attention was maintained throughout the story, and I didn’t see any plot holes. Yuri did a fantastic job creating this world filled with gifted individuals, yet it has its own unique flare.
I enjoyed the ending to where I read it twice. Yuri’s writing style is simple but well done. I LOVE it when writers don’t try to sound poetic all the time. I wish more writers would write like Yuri. A reader can tell that he took care of his story.
The story gets 5/5 stars from me, and Yuri earned it. Fantastic job! I really can’t wait for the next book.
The cover gets a strong A as well. The cover tells me gladiator meets X-Men. I really enjoy it. It is what pulled me to the story.
If you like to read comics, graphic novels, fantasy, and sci-fi, I highly recommend Metamorphs. The story will pull you in, and it’ll keep its hold onto you while you’re reading.
