Houston native Alison Baumann fell in love with writing when she was ten years old. Her keen sense for atmosphere, setting, and narrative led her to a successful career as a writer and producer of several award-winning films. Baumann’s essays have been published in London’s Sunday Magazine, Stella magazine, and the Daily Telegraph.

Under a Cloud of Rain is the first of A Nick Noelle Mystery series—the story of a passionate detective who solves the chilling murder cases of Houston’s elite society. Baumann lives in San Francisco, California, with her husband, Peter, and is currently working on two more novels.
