I'm thrilled to announce that today one of my dreams came true: I'm a bestselling author! The Dressmaker's Dowry has reached #136 on the USA Today bestseller list!

I am so thrilled to have attended my first Authors on the Move gala dinner hosted by the Sacramento Public Library Foundation.

This year’s “Authors on the Move: Read Beyond Your Fears“ marks the 16th year of bringing together 40 plus distinguished California authors and their recently published books. I absolutely loved dressing up and talking about my novels with my assigned tables of dinner guests. The food and wine was fantastic and $100,000 was raised at auction for children's literacy programs!

It was also my first ever night spent away from my eighteen-month-old daughter (who was in the care of my husband and mother in law) so I had an amazing time staying at the Sacramento Hyatt and sleeping a full 8 hours! I bought some saltwater taffy from Old Town Sacramento for my drive home, and I made friends with fellow authors who live in California.
