Hey Sheyla, thanks for the great question!

It's a tough one to be sure, and my instinct is just to say Brie seeing as she's the sole POV character, and we only ever see the world through her eyes (well, mostly, barring the odd bit of mind-reading and memory retrieval, like with West). Naturally, to spend 10 books creating a world through a single perspective means I'd have to enjoy that character, yet there are others I'd say I prefer.

Top of the list would be two, I'd say - Zander and Rhoth.

Given Zander's central role, you get to spend a lot of time with him, and his endless commitment to the cause and caring for Brie is something that sets him apart. Others, of course, are similarly heroic and stoic, such as Rycard and Kira (who I certainly love seeing as I wrote an entire spinoff with her!) but no one quite matches Zander in this regard. And he's incredibly powerful too, which is something!

Rhoth is my other favourite I'd say. He comes from somewhere entirely different, with a tricky backstory in dealing with Zander and the Nameless, and yet he warms to their cause too and is soon embroiled in it. He has no true enhancements barring his natural defences to the wilds and toxic smog, and yet still fights on with his hunters and tribespeople whenever called up, and will do anything to defend his people and see them safe. Plus, it was always fun writing his parts, given his slightly odd vernacular and the fact that he's come from an entirely different world to the rest.

I could go on to be honest, and there are many others I really like and would have wanted to spend more time writing. Even the likes of Cromwell - for totally different reasons, of course - I found to be a very interesting character, particularly with what happened towards the end. And then there's Tess and Mrs C, and Lady O and Adryan and...

Like I say, I could go on!

But, to narrow it down to two - Zander and Rhoth, with a slew of others in close contention!

So, who's yours?(less)

Hi Michael, thanks for reading my work!

OK, so when you get to the Enhanced sequels, they start to work in tandem with the Children of the Prime books. Technically, you could get away with only reading the Enhanced books, but you'd be missing out on a lot from Amber's perspective (she's the main POV character in the COTP series) as well as learning all about Olympus and the Fringe, where she comes from, and the people who live there.

There is a best reading order that people should follow to get the most of it all. It's listed on my website here:

http://tcedgebooks.com/the-enhanced-u...

It also provides brief explanations as to how things tie together.

If you're already up to Conquest, then I'd say it's probably best to backtrack to read Amber's story now. You'll soon catch up in the timeline and can then read the consequent books in both the Enhanced and COTP series together, culminating in Fate of the Chosen, where all 3 main characters (Amber, Brie, and Kira) come together in a triple POV.

Anyway, hope that helps and it's not too complicated! My website will explain it all more clearly, I'm sure :)

All the best,
