Waiting for Morning Time launched!
Waiting for Morning Time has finally arrived. It has taken me 5 years to finish the project. I’m glad as it is a tribute to my friend Lew Lipsit and his wife Merry. I’m adding the Amazon link for anyone who might want to read Lew’s story. If you have been following my posts, you will know that the book is about Lew, his son Bill and their friend Neal who were lost at sea for over two days- to that date the longest known survivors in open water. If you enjoy the story, please dont forget to give me a review.
Cheers
Chris

Waiting For Morning Time
I’m proud to say, Waiting for Morning Time is in the final stages of the publishing process. There have been quite a few changes since I first wrote the manuscript. I basically had to write it from three different perspectives – to keep everyone involved happy. I get it, it was not one man’s story and there were differing views and experiences.
For those of you who have not been following along, its a story about three men who were lost at sea (48 hours) and how they had to fight their own demons, the weather and the wildlife in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s about their loved ones on land who had to have faith that their men were still alive, even after the search was called off.
A year ago this summer, one of the survivors Lew Lipsit passed away from Covid. ( his wife Merry recently passed as well) As a group, I was given permission to write the book from Lew’s perspective. I think it changed the flow of the narative dramatically and in the end, it is a better book. For those of you have read my other books, there are a lot of F bombs and such. I have cleaned up the book 100 percent and have taken a Faith based direction. I think there are many messages within the book that need to be read. The Faith market is massive and we have a few large backers within the Christian community who are going to give this book a big push.
Waiting for Morning Time will be available at the end of July- possibly the middle of August for purchase. Its a relatively short read – people don’t seem to be able to put down.
Cheers,
Chris

Moving Along
Good day followers. It’s been a while since my last post. As I’ve stated I’m not an avid blogger, but I thought I would update people with things that are coming up.
The Society of Necessities has been doing okay with paper copies, but not aswesome on Amazon. If you have read the book I’d ask that you put a review up! Its the best way to get traction. I plan to be puting up some books in packages.
I was wondering if there would be any thirst for a third book in the Jackson Walker series. I’ve completed a substantial amount and it will be called: The Sawgrass Savannah. Jackson will return of course trying to find deeper meaningin his ancestral roots– and a nice little mystery to solve. Any feedback would be nice.
I’ve also started a story which is based in Buffalo New York- right across the border from where I live. It will be a true crime – police book. I like how the characters are shaping up and I’m 40k into it.
Of interest to some. I am an avid fisherman as you may note from snippets that appear within my writing. I am planning to start a You Tube channel, which will feature my fishing exploits. (To be attached to christopherbowron.com) It will be strictly for fun. I hope people will enjoy my antics. I’m still trying to think of a name for the site. My theme will be- I’m not a pro and I do learn from my mistakes. I hope to show my successes as well as my failures.
Cheers all! Chris

Sales and reviews are pouring in!
Hello followers. This will be my last pitch for my new book The Society of Necessities. Five star reviews are adding up, but its still a bit slow. To make any money, reviews are important. Let me clarify this point. I do not intend to get rich off selling books, its a tough business. My goal is for the process not to cost me money. Anyhow, I do apprecite the interest and hope everyone has a great summer!
I’m off to South Florida this week to visit all of my friendly bookstores and do a book signing or two and… possibly do a little fishing.

Release – Society of Necessities July 10
Hello Followers.
I’m pleased to say that my newest book The Society of Necessities is set for release on July 10. Reviews have been super… better than I could have hoped for. It would be amazing to get as many reviews as possible once the ebook is released. If you buy and post on Amazon and goodreads, I will forward a copy of a manuscript I wrote a year or so ago called: Waiting for Morning Time, its a great story. Send me a note to let me now that you have done so.
Here is one of the reviews from the Columbia Review:
THE SOCIETY OF NECESSITIESREVIEWED BY: SUSAN KEEFE
Susan Keefe reviews and promotes poetry, fiction and non-fiction, and is also author of the Toby’s Tails series of children’s books.
A well-known, and much published author, Christopher Bowron earned a B.A. in history and graduated from Brock University. He runs a real estate brokerage and lives in Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario, Canada. In this fast-paced, gripping, adventure, he has embraced his love of the paranormal and history to take his readers on an unforgettable ride through centuries, and across continents.
The protagonist of this story, Daniel St Croix is a rebel, and petty thief, who left home at a young age. So, he is surprised to be contacted by his grandfather, Pierre Le Croix’s solicitor, out of the blue. The solicitor gives him a strange wedding band, which is called the metal, and then reveals he is the sole heir to an estate and fortune in Quebec.
Accompanied by his beautiful and exotic girlfriend Devi, he visits his mother Vivianne, who reveals an astonishing secret about his grandfather. All three then continue on to the estate in Quebec City. There, dear readers, the mystery really deepens.
It is at the estate, through Pierre’s long time servants, Robert and Yvette, that Daniel discovers Pierre, has led an incredible existence which has lasted centuries, dating back to the French court of Louie XVI. From when the ring came into his possession, it changed Pierre’s life with its incredible powers of rejuvenation, and ability to grant longevity.
He also learns that Pierre and his servants have been hunted through time by the mysterious Society of Necessities, whose members desperately seek to obtain the ring and its powers, at any cost, and now as its owner, he is their new target.
Pierre’s quest to discover the origin of the ring had taken him across the world, and revealed something else, another artefact he longed to possess. He hoped Daniel will continue the search. However, in taking up the gauntlet, Daniel is unaware there are other secrets, not yet revealed to him. With The Society of Necessities on his trail, and danger at every turn, will he be able to find the relic?
As the author weaves his clever story, the sights and sounds of other worlds and times are laid before his readers. The theme of immortality enables Christopher Bowron to expand our horizons, and open our eyes to the mysteries of centuries, the stuff of legends…
I absolutely loved this book! Enthralling, jam-packed with danger and intrigue, I would highly recommend it to lovers of fast-paced adventure with that little bit more, such as you would find in the writings of Steve Berry and Raymond Khoury.

Covid Lockdown Number Three
There are times when being Canadian is great and cool. We are awsome at lining up for things, we can smoke pot legally, we have a great healthcare system and we have a great identity. There was a sense of being proud that our efforts to curb the curve with Covid was a good thing to do and we were at the top of the world as far as keeping the bug under control for the past year and a bit. We all did our thing as Canadians do. But, the cart has come off the rails.
I take issue with a few items. Why do we not have the capability to manufacture vaccines? We have a top 10 economy. We, as I’ve stated, have great health care. Canada is now… somewhere close to number 50 in the world as far as vaccine rollout is concerned. It will have cost us several Billion dollars purchasing vaccines from countries that have the facility to manufacture. It boggles my mind that we couldn’t have put some money into reclaiming old facilities etc. I mean- lets spend a billion on getting this right. The US has done the rollout correctly. It is the most important thing that can be done to get people healthy and the economy back on track. It hasn’t come cheep, but they did it right. Somehow it cheapens what we have done as far as lockdowns etc. Was it worth it? Okay one life lost is enough, but come on.
I do not blaim countries for holding onto vaccines for their own populous. Did we not think this might happen? Most of you who follow this blog are not Canadian, so I apologize for the rant. But…. I’m sitting here with my kids, not able to go out an enjoy the spring! I have a condo in Florida that I can’t get to because we are locked down and not able to cross the border… still. Full Lockdown! Had enough!
I did not ever feel that I was living in a third world country until recently. Our rollout for these vaccines is deplorable. As Canadians do, we are bending over and taking it, instead of getting jabbed in the arm. Per million people, our infection rate now exceeds that of the US. I just have this pervasive feeling that we are being betrayed… no thats not it… let down. I’ve never felt this before in this country. We pay high taxes and I’ve never really begrudged them. I feel that our politicians know more than what they are saying.
I’d like to hear what other people think.
On another note. I have finished my editing for The Society of Necessities… so hopefully I will be able to get some cover options out to you soon.
Chris
