What am I up to at the moment?
Hi
So, what am I doing right now? Well, right now I’m considering watching Fleabag episode 3, but if you mean writing wise....
Well, I’m working on a Blitz novel - it’s a thrilling, and yet very dark time, one that saw a lot of change. It’s an exciting time to write in.
I’ve got a third Mrs Hudson and Mary Watson novel pretty much done.
Thinking about writing for TV with a friend.
Working on short stories. Now short stories are a totally different way to write than a book. A book is a banquet with many courses, many tastes, lasts a long time, comes accompanied with fine wine...(well, at my book club, anyway). A short story is like a sandwich - but a perfect sandwich, a delicious sandwich, that mixes together a few ingredients to produce a perfect bite.
Actually, I think I’m hungry...
Anyway, a short story is a totally different discipline, and I’m having to find a different way of working and of setting out my story and revealing my characters.
When it’s done, and I get a short story published somewhere, I’ll let you know (there are two Mrs Hudson and Mary Watson short stories already published in magazines)
