THE SUNSHINE COTTAGE BOOKS

As well as all the books featuring Mary Brown, there is a series of books about the Lopez family who live in Sunshine Cottage, on the beach, in a beautiful fishing village called Cove Bay in North Carolina.

Meet The Lopez family…
• LISA is a romantic at heart and wants to spend her life immersed in the beauty of flowers and plants, and with the man she loves. When that man breaks her heart, she is devastated, and swears she’ll never love again…until a handsome sports coach starts paying her lots of attention
• SOPHIA is the most attractive of the girls, always beautifully dressed and with a spectacular figure. She loves getting all dressed up and attracts attention wherever she goes, but will she ever meet someone who loves her for who she is rather than what she looks like?
• EMMA is the comedian of the group. She is naturally pretty, smiley and funny and she doesn’t care at all what she looks like. She has no ambition to succeed in life, she just wants wanted to hang out with friends and work in the local sports bar. Her sisters’ despair of her ever meeting anyone.
• ISABELLA is a hairdresser…she is completely down to earth, a little bit chubby and always worried about her weight. She would love to meet someone but is convinced that being overweight stops men from being interested.
• GEORGINA is mum! She’s a retired teacher who’s enjoying spending more time with her daughters now she doesn’t have to work
• DONALD is dad: a retired oyster fisherman who moved to Cove Bay from Emerald Isle when he met Georgina.
• CHARLIE is a friend of the sisters, so not, technically speaking, a Lopez family member, but she comes to stay with them and feels like part of the family

The Mary Brown Mysteries

This is the second blog post about my books. In this one, I'm going to concentrate on the Mary Brown Mystery books. There are two at the moment (well, one precisely at this moment, the other is being written but is out VERY soon), and there are lots more coming in 2021.
BOOK ONE: Marvellous Mary Brown and the Mysterious Invitation
Mary receives an invitation to a funeral. But she has absolutely no idea who the deceased is. She’s told that he invited her on his deathbed, and he’s very keen for her to attend, but who is he? She has no idea!
So she decides to find out, and heads off to a dilapidated old farm house in a remote part of Wales. When she gets there she discovers that only five other people have been invited to the funeral. None of them knows who the deceased is either.
NO ONE GOING TO THIS FUNERAL HAS EVER HEARD OF THE GUY WHO'S BEING BURIED. WHAT IS GOING ON??
Then they are told that they have 20 hours to work out why they have been invited in order to inherit a million pounds.
Who is this guy and why are they there? And what of the ghostly goings on in the ancient old building?

Featuring Juan Pablo on the stage, her boyfriend, Ted, in a fight and Mary Brown in the middle of it all, wondering what in the name of the lord she's got herself all caught up in...
Mary proves herself to be super sleuth extraordinaire as she finds the clues to help crack the code. But will it be enough?

The Adorable Fat Girl books
Hello everyone,
This is my first post on Goodreads!!! I've been writing novels for years but didn't realise (until yesterday!) that you could add blogs and new book information onto the site, so - huge apologies - I'll be much more involved from now on.
I thought my first posts should be a simple look at my books, so if anyone is thinking of reading them, they know which order they come in, and how they all work.
I'll start with the Adorable Fat Girl series, then follow up with other posts about the other series.
So, Adorable Fat Girl (AFG) is about a wonderful, funny, gorgeous and crazy woman called Mary Brown who is overweight and decides to do something about it.
Book reviewers have described the series as "BRIDGET JONES WITH CAKE!"
because she's charming, crazy and adorable like Bridget.
Mary decides that she needs to lose weight, so she joins 'Fat Club' and the first three books are all about her experiences at the weightloss group, and the people she meets there.
After that, the series develops and we go on all manner of adventures with Mary - on safari, cruising, to a yoga retreat and a weight loss camp.
Then there's a Christmas book, a book about lockdown and several books about dating and romance...and there are lots more books to come.
The books can be read in any order, but I've listed the order they were written in below, incase you want to read them in sequence.
There's also a series of mystery books, that Mary Brown stars in (and they will be in the next post).
