My sweet friend Taylor from @the_bookish_ballad surprised me with this commissioned art to celebrate the release of A RIVER ENCHANTED and I am simply in love with it! 😍😭🥺

She choose one of my favorite moments in the story (Chapter 8 if you’ve read it!) and I simply cannot get over the details and the atmosphere and how perfect Jack & Adaira look.

I have some very exciting news, friends! A RIVER ENCHANTED is a No. 1 Sunday Times Bestseller in the United Kingdom. 💜😭

I…I honestly can’t even believe it, and when my editor @natashabardon called me yesterday to break the news…I thought I was dreaming. I wasn’t expecting to hit a bestseller list, let alone the number one spot, so this is beyond exciting for me!

To my U.K. readers and everyone who purchased the U.K. edition…THANK YOU! ✨ You showed up for this release and made this happen, and I wish I could hug every single one of you! I’m also so thankful for my incredible team at @harpervoyager_uk who loved this book and helped it find a home overseas.

If I could tell you one thing about RIVER, it would be this:

I didn’t set out to write an adult novel. It just kind of happened, and it was a wondrous thing to uncover.

I still think about the night I started writing this story nearly three years ago. How I felt the magic in my fingertips and in my chest, sparking like a fire as I typed word after word, uncovering this tale chapter by chapter.

This book challenged me. It demanded my growth and my courage to let it become what it wanted to be.

I love this story so much, and I’m honored to share it with you today.

This is my big announcement: I am beyond excited to share that I have a tour planned to celebrate the release of A RIVER ENCHANTED!

My launch will be on Tuesday February 15th at 7 PM. This is a VIRTUAL event with the lovely Vania of @yatllive and will be hosted by my local indie, @littleshopofstories ✨ Please make sure you register for this event!

Next, I’ll be heading to @parnassusbooks in Nashville, TN for my first IN-PERSON event (!!!) since 2019. I’ll be in conversation with @hwhittenwrites whose debut I absolutely LOVED last year! ✨Please note that you do need to register for this. Also, a disclaimer that this event might need to shift to a virtual platform. If that happens, I will give an update as soon as I know.

Then, I’ll be heading to @josephbethlex in Lexington, KY for an IN-PERSON event with none other than my inimitable agent @sztownsend81 ✨We’ll be chatting about RIVER, of course. But this is such a unique setting to have my agent in conversation with me that we’ll also be chatting about publishing, query writing, etc. This would be a great event to attend if you are an author aspiring to be published.

For my last event, I am thrilled to be in conversation with two of my favorite authors, @gamwyn and @hannachoward hosted by my local indie, @avidbookshop ✨ This will be a fun VIRTUAL chat, and I hope you can tune in and join us!

It helps me tremendously when you are very specific (such as saying “please personalize the book to Jack”).
